Tooth Fillings and Restorative Dentistry
Dr. Kaur uses several different types of materials for the restoration of teeth, choosing the material and method best suited to the specific situation. Each material and method has its own advantages and disadvantages. Dr. Kaur will always discuss the pros and cons of each option with you before placing a restoration. Tooth colored resin fillings and porcelain inlays and onlays are aesthetically pleasing and do offer some functional advantages over silver fillings. They are chemically and micromechanically bonded to the teeth, creating a tight fit to the natural tooth structure. The lamination effect of the bonding can actually help strengthen the remaining tooth structure.
